Dogs in Class?
I'm a college student with my own apartment with a yard and such, also right near a park, and I'm strongly considering getting a German Shepherd.
anybody have experience with bringing their dogs to class? I'd be loathe to leave the guy alone whenever I go to class. Is it generally on a case-by-case basis with the professors, or have you found that it's generally an OK thing to do with a well trained, quiet dog?
You shouldn't start what you can't finish.
our dogs places with us is great but you have got to set some limits on doggie and me time or you could cause the dog to be more dependant on you than you'd like it to be and when you absolutely have to leave it alone like to go to work or out to eat seperation anxiety will become a major concern. If you take the dog for a romp in the park off leash for at least 30 minutes before you leave it alone it'll lay down for a nap while you're gone and not care less about being left alone.
sure you leave it in a safe room where it has plenty of water and toys that it can interact with. Stuffed animals that make more than one sound,treat abll,Cuz and Kong toys. It'll be fine.
